Arcade racers that earn their spot on your phone

August 4, 2026 · Marek Dvořák

Racing games eat storage and battery, so for one to stay on my phone it has to deliver fun in under a minute of play. Neon Drift Circuit cleared that bar fast.

The whole game lives on its drift system. Lean into a corner, hold the slide, and you build boost. It turns every track into a flow challenge rather than a memorization test.

I tried both control schemes and settled on tap-to-steer. Tilt feels fun for about five races, then your wrists complain. Taps are precise and you can play on a crowded train without looking like you're conducting an orchestra.

If you want something you can pick up for one quick race and actually feel good about, it's an easy recommend. Just mute the soundtrack and bring your own.
